Zyrtec use in children

The recommended dosages of preparation Zyrtec in children with allergic hives or contact allergic dermatitis, depend on the effect, which is required to be achieved from the drug use. The recommended daily dose in children aged form 6 months to a year is – 2.5mg or 5 drops once a day, in children from 1 year to 6 years – 2.5mg – 2 times a day or 5 mg once a day, children older then 6 years – 10mg or 20 drops once a day.

In order to inhibit an inflammatory process in allergic hives or contact allergic dermatitis it is recommended to be taken for a period of 10 days. In Dyshidrosis, it is recommended to take Zyrtec for a period of 3 to 4 weeks once a day 20 minutes before sleep, during the period of remission and during the autumn-spring period.

In order to suppress the inflammation and in order to achieve membrane stabilizing effect in atopic dermatitis, an even longer use of the drug is recommended.
